ST. MARY'S ART EXHIBITION: After much thought I have decided to resign from the Art Exhibition Committee.  If St. Mary's is to benefit from this event then there needs to be a strong representation from St. Mary's on the committee particularly to liaise with the artists, the borough council who sponsor the first prize in the Rushcliffe Competition, and to send out and receive all the entry forms etc.  I have on my computer the names of all the artists who are invited to take part and I am happy to let whoever is prepared to take my place to have them.  If no one comes forth then this event, which is a major part of village life, is likely to lapse, or if it does take place will not necessarily benefit St. Mary's.  I am also giving up co-ordinating the annual Christmas Fair but fortunately Dave Townsend has agreed to do this job for 2010.  The reason for making this decision is that I wish to concentrate on a project
