PRAYER FOR THE WEEK

Please pray over the Christmas for our world, which finds itself as troubled as ever.  We live in uncertain times and the world needs as much prayer. Please pray for those countries, which are suffering war, strife, famine, and natural disasters.  Pray for those countries, which wield such power that at a press of a button could bring such horror and destruction.  Pray that their leaders will make wise decisions, which will benefit everyone.

Finally at this Christmastide give thanks for our Saviour Jesus Christ, who is the same today as he was in the past and will be for evermore.

PEWS NEWS – There will be no Pews News for Sunday 31st December. Pews news will start again with effect from Sunday 7th January. We wish all our readers a very Happy Christmas and a Joyous Peaceful New Year.

WATCHNIGHT SERVICE - The Watchnight Service, at 11.30 p.m. on 31st December provides an opportunity to reflect on the past, to think about what is to come, and to lay it before God in thanksgiving and prayer.  The service incorporates a candlelit procession to our Millennium window, which instructs us about the nature of time, and reminds us that time is contained within the loving arms of God.   Everyone is very welcome at this service. David Hancock

REGULAR GIVING ENVELOPES - The regular giving envelopes for 2018 are now at the back of church. If you already normally give by this method, please collect your box when convenient. If you would like to start using offering envelopes next year, then please do pick up one of the unnamed set of envelopes plus one of the 'giving packs'. Thanks very much. Sally Williams
