St Mary's Radcliffe on Trent

The PCC met on Monday 4th January with 15 members present.

The General Fund stood at £17,681.79.  The Fabric Fund stands at £2,035.24.  It was reported that there had been an encouraging response to the appeal letter sent out in early December.  

Charitable giving was discussed and it was agreed that the list of charities to which St Mary’s donates will be reviewed and reported on later in the year.

Graeme Anderson reported that the Bishop of Sherwood is joining us for the week-end of 14th/16th May at various events entitled ‘Seed Scattering’.  These will include a sports quiz to be held at the British Legion Social Club and a hog roast at Shelford.  All local people are warmly invited to attend.  

Elizabeth Eaton reported that the Christmas Lunch was very successful and enjoyed by all who joined in.  She thanked all those who had helped in any way.

It was reported that there had been several nativities held over Christmas which were very well attended in spite of adverse weather conditions.

There was a detailed discussion about Baptism policy and Graeme Anderson said he would follow through the PCC’s general thoughts, asking members to continue to pray about this.
