RADVENTURES

RadVentures’ musical hat trick! Troubadours; World Music Reggae, funk & Samba; Jazz-fusion, gypsy music, flamenco dancing.

RadVentures hosts a hat trick of musical gems in February, April and May 2010; three events, three totally different styles, bring some of the best touring musicians out of the cities into smaller rural communities, courtesy of the Village Ventures touring scheme.

The musical feast launches on Friday February 5th.  Singer-songwriter Reg Meuross, accompanied by vocalist and cellist Bethany Porter, treats his audience to a menu of his own songs.  These range from stories about the real Dick Turpin to The Pilgrim Fathers, from tragic WW1 tales of young soldiers executed for desertion to Elvis, from the Eyam plague to star-crossed lovers.

Reg is a rare breed, a true English troubadour, a singer-songwriter of pure class with a major national following and impressive reviews.  He’s an entertainer that offers wry, witty observations and beautiful self-penned songs, complemented by a splendid voice and fine guitar playing.  He is accompanied on his national tour by Bethany Porter, talented young cellist, singer and ukulele player.
